Reviews

1 year in, design issues found

"I previously reviewed this bag as 5 stars. Over the course of using it for a year, I have found issues that would dissuade me from buying it again. The overall build quality of this bag is excellent. It's a good size and reasonably comfortable for wearing as a backpack for a few hours at a time. The laptop/paper pocket is useful. Here are my issues: 1) The lower rack hook's protective cover has worn off and it's sharp to handle. 2) The strap that keeps the lower rack hook in place is coming unstitched. 3) I've had a heavy folding lock and a full water bottle come out of the rack while riding. I was able to recover the rack, but I had to buy a replacement water bottle. It was the same as the one show in my photos. 4) The clip that attaches the lower rack strap to the bag is irritating to unclip, which makes the transition to/from backpack more annoying than necessary. 5) The backpack strap clips on the bottom of the bag brush against my spokes if the backpack is heavily loaded. In retrospect, I wish I had purchased the Woodward. I think its design probably solves most of the issues I have with the Morrison, and it offers more space, which I've needed on multiple occasions."

Great bag, be mindful of heel clearance on the bike.

"Great bag, well constructed and thoughtfully designed. Just the right size for carrying a change of clothes for my commute. Minus one star due to heel clearance on the bike. The square profile of the “backpack” can be an issue if your bike has short chainstays and/or your rack isn’t offset to the back. I switched out my rear rack and was able to make it work."

Scott W. (4/5)

Excellent

"Got my Morrison backpack pannier for my commute and like it a lot."

Christopher D. (5/5)

Great quality, great looks

"I really like the front pocket where I can keep my phone, keys, and wallet separate from a cavernous hole. Appreciate the laptop sleeve. I do wish that there was a key hook were I could quickly grab my key fob to scan it as I'm entering my building, but I've re-purposed one of the straps inside the top of the bag so that I can hook my carabiner/ keys on it and pull it out when I'm at the building entrance."

Sonia H. (5/5)

Eddie M. (5/5)

Thoughtfully designed and easy to use

"Well constructed and easy to mount. Holds more than I thought and makes a comfortable backpack. It’s a little tricky to figure out which direction to clip in the backpack straps, but it’s not a big deal if they end up backwards sometimes."

Aubrey P. (5/5)

Love it!

"Perfect size for my needs. Fits on my rack perfectly. I can carry my 16” laptop to work in the sleeve. Easy to take on and off. I like the side pocket to fit my ulock in. Lightweight and comfortable to wear as a backpack!"
