Meet the North St. Crew

Owner & Designer

An eclectic background of theater production, architecture, bike mechanics, and a stubborn DIY ethos led North Street founder Curtis Williams to settle in Portland in 2009 and begin sewing bags in the basement. After making several bags for friends and rediscovering the simple joy of handcrafting, Curtis got hooked and North Street was born. Curtis loves backpacking, making pizzas, good spreadsheets and his fantastic fiancé Elizabeth.

Inventory Coordinator

Lee joined NSB in her search for a meaningful "DIY" rejuvenation of her prior life making stuff, and is enjoying her new status as a PDX bike commuter with her trusty Woodward Convertible at her side. She loves doing a lil' of this and a lil' of that, so the diversity of tasks in the shop are a great fit. Lee brings a passion for sustainable practices, local economies, and a strong environmental studies background to her interpretation of LEAN manufacturing, and sees many natural system efficiencies reflected in LEAN applications to North Street's operations.
