North St. Bags is a Portland-based company making awesome stuff for the crossover between the daily grind and the weekend hijinks. The Meeting Bag does this by filling a void left underneath the day bag where you still need something to carry some stuff around in, but you don’t want to bring a full-sized day bag. The Meeting Bag is just over a pound (15 in x 12.5 in. x 3 in.) but carries well above its weight. It opens flat to let you easily load the main compartment, the 14 in. by 10.5 in. padded laptop sleeve, and the exterior pocket. It has hand carry straps on the top, and hideaway backpack straps that actually hideaway instead of just tucking away. I didn’t even notice they were there at first. It’s a great bag for a day full of meetings but can also pop the straps out and handle your carry on needs. The interior has velcro attachment points that are compatible with their line of Division pockets. Once you get to your destination, you can attach it to the larger bags in the line so you aren’t juggling mismatched bags. The meeting bag should get in to your lineup asap. $130 makes it yours.
